BILANG pagtalima ng PNP-POLICE Regional Office 5 sa direktiba ng PNP-National Headquarters na nagbabawal sa PNP mobile and motorcycle security sa panahon ng kampanya para lokal at national polls.
Bunsod nang nalalapit na 2022 National and Local Election sa darating na Mayo 9, 2022, ay nag isyu ng Guidelines ang PNP hinggil sa pagkakaloob ng Mobile at Motorcycle Security Coverage sa Incumbent Government Officials at mga Political Aspirants.
Ang guidelines na may petsang April 1, 2022 ay nagbabawal sa mga government officials at private citizens sa paggamit ng PNP mobile and motorcycle security. Subalit exempted naman dito ang Presidente ng Pilipinas, ang Vice President; Senate President; Speaker of the House of Representatives; Chief Justice of the Supreme Court; at ang Chief, PNP.
“Official requests from members of the congress, Government agencies and private institutions that advance the interest of the country shall be granted subject to the approval and endorsement of the Chief, PNP or the Director for Operations,” dagdag na paliwanag.
Ang mga PNP mobile cars at motorcycles units ay gagamitin lamang para sa mga nagpapatrulya.
Additionally, it has also emphasized that mobile or motorcycle traffic assistance shall be provided to incumbent government officials who are running for national and location positions only during arrival or departure at the point and while in transit to and from the billeting and areas of engagement. PNP mobile cars and motorcycles shall not take the lead in any campaign motorcades, campaign sorties, caravans and other similar activities.
