Binigyang-direktiba ni Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla ang National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) para magsagawa ng imbestigasyon kaugnay sa “audio deepfake” ni President Ferdinand Marcos ,Jr. na nag-uutos sa militar na gumawa ng aksiyon kung aatake ang China sa Pilipinas.
Ang kautusan ni Remulla ay bunga ng pagka-alarma ng Presidential Communications Office (PCO) at Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) dahil sa pagkalat ng naturang recording.
Hinihinala umano ng DICT na minanipula ang recording sa pamamagitan ng artificial intelligence (AI) at nilinaw ng PCO na walang ganoong audio recording si Pangulong Marcos.
“Hold accountable the personalities behind this deceiving act, make the investigation swift and comprehensive to ascertain the truth…I am instructing you to file the necessary legal action, if warranted, against those behind this fake news,” ani Remulla .
“We ask everyone to be proactive in exposing and fighting against misinformation, disinformation, and malinformation. Let us remain and be more mindful and responsible of the content we choose to share in our shared digital spaces,” ayon sa PCO.
