MASAYA si Ria Atayde dahil may Mother’s Day offering silang mag-ina na si Sylvia Sanchez, ang “Misis Piggy.”
Ayon kay Ria, namiss niya ang pag-iyak sa harap ng kamera.
“If you’re going to watch, please prepare your tissues,” ang advise niya sa mga manonood.
Kwento pa ni Ria: “Misis Piggy tells the story of Marivic, a single mom of three and a market vendor who owns the stall called Misis Piggy. ”
“Life seemed fine despite her personal struggles and hurt until her three kids start reconnecting with their estranged father.
“It talks about the separation of their parents, how it affected the three adults. Kasi ‘yung bunso namin pa-graduate na tapos kaming dalawa are professionals already,” dagdag kwento ni Ria.
Ang lesson na nakuha raw niya story ay ang paghihiwalay ng magulang kung saan malaking epekto sa mga anak.
“So you have to handle that very delicately. Apart from that, viewers will also learn that there are two sides to every story.
“So when you hear something, don’t commit or marry yourself to the idea of it. And keep your mind open para there’s progress, there’s growth,” ayon kay Ria.
Sa first time na nagkaharap sila sa eksena ng inang si Sylvia, inamin ni Ria na natakot siya.
“Natatakot ako. Because, you know, my mom would have not lasted in this industry if she wasn’t as talented as she is. May pressure pa nung start.”
Pero nay advantage naman daw ito.
”Having your mom on the show just makes it so much easier.”
Hindi raw siya pinakisamahan ng ina bilang isang anak kundi isang katrabaho.
”Na-prove ko na kaya pala namin maging professional with one another. Binigyan niya ako ng space. On the set, she treated me as an actress and not her daughter. And I am so grateful for that ‘cause it really helped with my process.”
Mensahe ni Ria sa lahat ng mga ina:“To all moms and mother figures, thank you for adding light into our lives that way that you do. To my Mom, thank you for giving me the strength to succeed in everything I want to do.”

“Misis Piggy” is a six-episode iWantTFC original series that premiered last April 25.
