PUMANAW na ang veteran ABS-CBN showbiz reporter na si Mario Dumaual noong July 5 sa edad na 64 dahil sa septic shock,
Noong nakaraang buwan ay inatake sa puso si Dumaual at naospital.
Sa Hulyo 31 magiging 65-anyos na sana si Mario .
Nakipaglaban siya sa matinding fungal infection, isang komplikasyon dulot ng atake sa puso at halos isang buwan siyang na-confine sa Philippine Heart Center bago tuluyang pumanaw.
Patuloy naman ang pagbuhos ng pakikiramay sa mga naulila ni Mario.
Ayon sa aktres na si Sharon Cuneta, si Dumaual ay isang bihirang uri ng tao sa showbiz.
“Sure he was a showbiz reporter but he was decent, fair, and loved whom he loved. He was my friend. I cannot believe that I now exist in a world without someone like him. That his family adores and treasures him is only a testament to the kind of person he was. I will miss his smile and running to him for a hug everytime we saw each other. May he rest in peace. He will be sorely missed,” ani ni Megastar.
Inilarawan naman ni Boy Abunda si Mario bilang isang mabuting kaibigan at isang dakilang tao.
Si dating Tourism Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat, ay sinabing lagi niyang aalalahanin ang mga panayam, mensahe at pakikipagkaibigan ni Dumaual nang may pagmamahal.
Nadurog namna ng puso ng mga mamamahayag na sina Niña Corpuz, Julius Babao, Gretchen Fullido at Ginger Conejero sa pagpanaw ni Mario.
“Papa was our rock, we depended much on him. But he also nurtured us to become strong and able and to be the best version of ourselves. Beyond us his family, we’d like to think he also left a legacy in entertainment journalism. He made us proud as Mario Dumaual, the reporter, but ultimately more so as a devoted husband, father, and granddad,” ayon sa pamilya ni Mario.
