Multi-awarded actor John Regala, known for his action movies and villain roles, passed away last Saturday due to cardiac arrest and multiple health complications that affected his kidney, among others.
John, whose real name is John Paul Guido Boucher Scherrer, initially joined showbiz as a member of the teenage variety show “That’s Entertainment,” from 1986 to 1988.
From there, he became popular as an action star and later, for his villain roles.
Among his famous movies are “Manila Kingpin: The Asiong Salonga Story” and “Askal.”
His remains will like in wake, at the St. Peter Tandong Sora in Commonwealth, Quezon City.
