WOUNDED SOLDIERS RECEIVE EARLY CHRISTMAS GIFT FROM THE AFP

CAMP AGUINALDO, Quezon City – In recognition of their heroism and sacrifices, battle casualties recovering at the V. Luna Medical Center (VLMC) received early Christmas gift from the Armed Forces of the Philippines time for the holiday season.

AFP Chief of Staff, LtGen. Bartolome Vicente Bacarro, led the distribution of gift packs to soldiers to boost their morale and let them feel the essence of the holiday season.

He was joined by the Surgeon General AFP BGen Fatima Claire Navarro; the Deputy Chief of Staff for Personnel, J1, BGen Jose Maria Cuerpo, Jr.; Col Michael Mangahas, Chief of Staff of the AFP Health Service Command and Col Jonna Dalaguit, Chief of the VLMC.

In his message, the Chief of Staff assured the soldiers that the AFP recognizes the sacrifices of its personnel as they perform their duties.

“As part of the noble profession of arms, we understand that our lives are always on the line in the performance of our mandate of protecting the people and the state. Rest assured that the AFP will continue to provide quality programs especially quality healthcare for you and your families.” LtGen. Bacarro said.

The CSAFP also thanked the medical doctors, nurses and other allied health professionals in VLMC and other military treatment facilities for taking care of soldiers and being instrumental in their fast recovery so they can return to their respective stations. (VICTOR BALDEMOR RUIZ)
