Nagbitiw si Vice President Sara Duterte bilang co-Vice Chairperson ng NTF-ELCAC at Secretary of the Department of Education (DepEd).
Kinikilala at iginagalang umano ng National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC) ang pasya ni Duterte at hindi umano matatawaran ang ‘leadership and unwavering commitment’ ng pangalawang Pangulo sa layunin ng NTF-ELCAC na naging instrumento sa pagsusulong ng sama-samang mithiin na makamit ang pangmatagalang kapayapaan at pag-unlad ng Pilipinas.
Ang panunungkulan umano ni Vice President Duterte bilang co-Vice Chairperson ay nag- iwan ng hindi matatawarang marka sa pagsisikap na matugunan ang ugat ng insurgency sa bansa at isulong ang tuloy- tuloy na kapayapaan sa mga conflict-affected areas.
“Her dedication to the task force has resulted in numerous successful initiatives and operations that have strengthened the resolve and capacity of our communities to stand against insurgency. Her leadership has also emphasized the importance of education as a vital component in combating insurgency, “ ani Usec Ernesto C Torres Jr., Executive Director, NTF ELCAC.
Dagdag pa ni Torres, “As Secretary of DepEd, she spearheaded various programs aimed at improving the quality of education and making it more accessible, thereby addressing one of the key factors contributing to local conflicts.”
Kaugnay nito ay nagpaabot ng pasasalamat ang NTF-ELCAC kay Vice President Duterte para sa kanyang ‘invaluable contributions and leadership.’
