Itinalaga ni bagong Health Secretary Teodoro “Ted” Herbosa si Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire na maging pinuno ng lahat ng Undersecretary na nangangasiwa sa operasyon kagawaran., habang si Undersecretary Eric Tayag naman ang bagong chief information officer ng Department of Health (DOH).
“I gave her a position of chief of all the undersecretaries that are in charge of our operations of all the different regions, because we have four undersecretaries taking care of the DOH activities in Northern Luzon, Central Luzon, Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao,” ani Herbosa.
“Those are five undersecretaries and she will be on top of them, she will be helping me, helping me deliver the goals. Her experience and previous job of caretaker of DOH will continue in that segment of operations,” dagdag ni Herbosa.
Samantala, hinirang naman niya si Tayag bilang chief information officer para tulungan siya sa Isa sa kanyang prayoridad na ‘digitalization’ sa DOH.
Si Tayag ay director ng Knowledge Management and Information Technology Services mula 2016 hanggang 2022, at nakapagtatag na rin ng koneksyon sa Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT).
“[Digitalization of DOH] is my priority and I’m going to make [him] work and make sure that we digitize healthcare so it becomes accessible in the most remote areas of the public,” ani Herbosa.
