US MARINE EXPEDITIONARY FORCE COMMANDER SUSTAINS RELATIONS WITH PH NAVY

NAVAL STATION JOSE ANDRADA, Manila – The commanding general of the 1st Marine Expeditionary Force (I MEF) of the United States Marine Corps, Lt. Gen. George Smith Jr. made an introductory call at the Philippine Navy (PN) headquarters.

Navy Vice Commander, Rear Adm. Caesar Bernard Valencia, along with select members of the PN staff received Ltgen Smith.

Opportunities to sustain partnership with the PN and its Marine Corps in the area of capability and capacity enhancement vital to maritime domain awareness were tackled during the brief discussion.


“We are looking forward to serve with all of the Filipino Armed Forces.” Lt. Gen. Smith Jr stated. Rear Adm. Valencia likewise expressed high hopes for the PN to participate in the future activities and exercises for the betterment of the organization.
