DEAD on arrival at the hospital were two men while six others were seriously injured when a bullet opened fire on their house in Cotabato City last night.
According to the Cotabato City Police Office, Ato Malindatu and an alias Mugia were killed in the shooting.
Amar Piang, Nando Malindatu, Datu Nilan Agar, Datu Norman Pasawilan, Mohaymim Ali and Datu Ali Balabaran, all residents of Barangay Kalanganan 2, Cotabato City, were injured.
The Cotabato City PNP’s investigation revealed that at around 7:00 pm, unidentified suspects suddenly shot the victims with high -powered weapons and then quickly fled.
The injured were rushed to the Cotabato Regional and Medical Center (CRMC) but two of them were declared dead on arrival by doctors.
Authorities are currently investigating to determine the identities of the perpetrators and their motives for shooting the victims. (VICTOR BALDEMOR)
