Thai Navy’s top brass to visit DND and PH Navy

NAVAL STATION JOSE ANDRADA, Manila – The Philippine Navy (PN) accorded a fitting reception to the Commander- in- Chief of the Royal Thai Navy (RTN), Adm. Adoong Pan-Iam, during his official visit to the PN headquarters last week.

PN Vice Commander, Rear Adm. Caesar Bernard Valencia, received the distinguished Thai delegation whose visit was a testament to the enduring friendship and robust cooperation between the two neighboring navies in the ASEAN region.

During the courtesy call, both leaders discussed the long-standing partnership and cooperation between the PN and the RTN. Rear Adm. Valencia expressed his gratitude for the continuous support and collaboration, emphasizing the importance of such visits in strengthening regional maritime security and cooperation.


Also Defense Undersecretary Angelito De Loon, Officer-in-Charge, Office of the Undersecretary of National Defense, welcomed Admiral Adoong Pan-Inam, and his delegation, during a courtesy call at the Department of National Defense (DND)

The official visit of Adm. Pan-Iam to the PN at Defense department is a manifestation of a collaborative maritime endeavor, highlighting both nations’ dedication to promoting peace, stability, and security in the region.

Undersecretary De Leon said he believes that with the Philippines shifting focus towards external defense, DND’s implementation of the Comprehensive Archipelagic Defense Concept, Thailand could be among the Philippines’ partners in developing its self-reliant defense posture, he said.
