A 23-year-old male student fell to his death, landing on a moving car along EDSA, from the platform of a Light Rail Transit Line 1 (LRT-1) station in Quezon City at around 10:30 a.m. yesterday.
The incident happened at the LRT-1’s Fernando Poe Jr. station in Barangay Ramon Magsaysay, Quezon City.
Caught on video which is now viral, the young man fell from the stationj and died on the spot, after landing on the vehicle then being driven by a 31-year-old mechanical engineer who reportedly hails from Antipolo, Rizal.
In reaction, the Light Rail Manila Corp. (LRMC), which operates the LRT-1, assured that it is cooperating with the authorities in the investigation.
“We extend our sympathies to the family of the victim during this difficult time,” it said.
Probers are still looking into the incident.
