DUE to the complaints of three individuals who claimed to have been victimized in Makati City by a robbery-holdup activity six policemen from the Manila Police District were arrested and charged before the Makati Prosecutor’s Office.
While their chief was relieved from his post as MPD- Station 9 commander for command responsibility, the six policemen were detained and subjected to a thorough investigation.
Reportedly, the six Manila policemen were arrested by the Makati Police based on complaints lodged by victims Raul, Rosemarie and Manuel, who said that at 7:48 p.m., the suspects blocked their path and took their belongings while they were on Arsonbel Street in Barangay San Isidro, Makati City.
The victims said they met two women in Malate, Manila and were told to meet up in the said area but once there, they were met by the cops who at gunpoint ordered them to lie face down on the ground. They were then hogtied before their things were taken and the cops boarded motorcycles and sped away.
Later on, the suspects were identified through a back tracking operation which resulted in their subsequent arrest.
Meanwhile charges of robbery hold-up have been filed against the MPD cops before the Makati Prosecutors Office.
