Lt. Gen. Bartolome Vicente O Bacarro, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines, met with HMA Laure Beafils, British Ambassador to the Philippines and Capt. Graeme Davis, Non-Resident British Defense Attaché to the Philippines, during their courtesy call on September 1, 2022.
Both sides expressed the importance of developing cooperation and discussed regional dynamics and bilateral opportunities between the Philippines and the United Kingdom.
Gen. Bacarro also extended his appreciation of the UK’s support to the Philippine position in the WPS, military education and training exchanges sponsored by the UK government, and the support for the strengthening of PH-UK Defense relations.
In turn, HMA Laure Beaufils also considered initiating long-term and short-term agreements that will enhance further the UK-PH defense cooperation. (VICTOR BALDEMOR)
