NAHIGITAN ng Bureau of Customs (BOC) ang revenue collection target nito ng P1.328 billion sa unang buwan ng taon.
Ayon sa inilabas na datos ng Aduana, nakakolekta ito ng kabuuang P79.343 billion, mas mataas ng 1.7 percent sa P78.015 billion collection target para sa Enero.
Ikinatuwa ng BOC ang pagtaas ng collection sa unang buwan ng taong 2025 na mas mataas sa itinakdang monthly target collection. Mas mataas din ito ng 8.10 percent kumpara noong Enero 2024 na mayroong P73.397 bilyon ang koleksyon.
Ilan sa mga susi dito ay ang paghihigpit nila sa border security at ang pinalakas na pagkolekta ng buwis sa mga produkto, ani Commissioner Bienvenido Rubio.
Paliwanag pa ni Rubio: “The BOC’s positive collection performance is aligned with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s directive to optimize revenue collection, streamline trade processes and strengthen border security.
“Our priority is to sustain revenue growth while ensuring seamless trade and robust border protection,” ani Commissioner Bienvenido Rubio.
