Camp BGen Simeon A Ola, Legazpi City — Police Regional Office 5 under its new leadership continues to embark on programs to enhance and instill discipline and weed out erring personnel among its ranks.
PBGen. Mario Reyes, Regional Director, directed to expand the conduct of random drug testing among these ranks during the talk-to-men today, May 18, 2022.
“This drug testing is only one of the manifestations of our commitment to make it certain that our personnel do not engage in the illicit use of drugs. As it is true that we want to make our community drug free and as implementers of the law, we must be the first to follow it, hence this random drug testing”, said Reyes.
A total of 372 personnel have been picked to undergo the test which was conducted simultaneously in the entire region. For the Regional Headquarters, 52 were chosen including PBGEN REYES who volunteered to take the test. The Provincial and City Police Office also joined the activity, in Albay 10 personnel shall go through the process, while 30 in Camarines Norte PPO; 35 in Camarines Sur PPO; 31 in Catanduanes PPO; 100 in Masbate PPO; 14 in Sorsogon PPO; and 100 in Naga City Police Office.
On the other hand, PRO5 also remains relentless in launching several anti-illegal drug operations to arrest individuals connected in the sale and use of drugs. (VICTOR BALDEMOR)
