Nagsimula na ang legal proceedings sa Davao City Prosecutor’s Office laban kay Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) founder, Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy at ilang kasamahan nito.
Kinumpirma ito ng Department of Justice (DOJ) alinsunod sa direktiba na batay sa resolusyon na “AAA v. Quiboloy et.al.”, na una nang inilabas ni Justice Secretary Jesus Crispin Remulla at may kinalaman sa akusasyon ng sexual at child abuse laban sa Pastor.
Ayon sa DOJ, si Quiboloy ay nahaharap sa mga kasong paglabag sa Section 5(b) ng Republic Act No. 7610 (Other Sexual Abuse), na nagbibigay proteksiyon sa mga kabataan laban sa pang-aabuso, exploitation at diskriminasyon.
Napag-alaman na may karagdagan pa umanong kaso na isinampa laban kina Quiboloy, Jackielyn W. Roy, Cresente Canada, Paulene Canada, Ingrid C. Canada, at Sylvia Cemanes, na naglalayong bantayan ang psychological at emotional health ng mga kabataan.sa ilalim ng Section 10(a) ng nasabi ring batas (Other Acts of Child Abuse).
Inendorso ng Davao City Prosecutor’s Office ang reklamo para sa Qualified Trafficking in Persons sa punong tanggapan ng DOJ.
Batay sa Department Order 144, ang Task Force on Women and Children and Against Trafficking In Persons ay inatasan na maghanda ng mga kinakailangang impormasyon laban sa mga nasabing respondents para sa kasong Qualified Human Trafficking sa ilalim ng Section 4 (a) ng Republic Act No. 9208, as amended, alinsunod sa resolusyong na-promulgate noong Marso 5, 2024.
