PDEA VI Leads High-Impact Drug Bust, Dismantles Drug Den in Iloilo City

Drug Enforcement Officers of PDEA VI Regional Special Enforcement Team (RSET) Alpha, together with the PDEA Iloilo Provincial Office, conducted a high-impact buy-bust operation resulting in the dismantling of a drug den in Zone 7, Barangay Calumpang, Molo, Iloilo City, on February 21, 2024, 8 p.m..

PDEA Information Office chief Director Derick Carreon identified the apprehended primary suspects as Jose Tonogbanua, Jeffrey Decena, and Domingo Losa.


Drugs and related paraphernalia were seized during the raid, including several sachets of suspected shabu weighing a total of 40 grams with an estimated street value of P220,000.

Additionally, law enforcement confiscated folded aluminum strips with shabu residue, buy-bust money amounting to P5,500.00, an android phone believed used in their drug transactions, a black waistbag, disposable lighters and various aluminum strips commonly used in drug packaging and distribution.

The 48-year-old Jose Tonogbanua, is believed to be the maintainer behind the drug den operation.


All three suspects are residents of Barangay Calumpang, Molo, Iloilo City.

They are currently facing charges for violations of Sections 5, 6, 7, 11, 12, and 15 Art. II of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
