CAMP PERALTA, Jamindan, Capiz – Two members of Communist NPA Terrorist were killed in an encounter with the troops of the Army’s 62nd Infantry (Unifier) Battalion at Sitio Kawayanan, Barangay Montilla, Moises Padilla, Negros Occidental.
One of the fatalities, @Ivan, is a notorious hitman responsible for the killings of innocent civilians who were suspected to be military informers and supporters.
The encounter further resulted in the capture of one .45 caliber pistol, one .357 revolver, serviceable ammunitions, steel magazines, two backpacks with personal belongings, medical kits and assorted medicines.
In his statement, Major General Marion R Sison PA, Commander of the 3rd Infantry (Spearhead) Division said that the CNTs have paid the price of the injustices they committed against the innocent people they have executed. Justice is served.
“For those who refuse peace, we will continue to pursue you until you are rendered irrelevant. We will not stop until our communities are free from your atrocities,” MGen Sison added.
