HINDI pupunta si United States (US) President Joe Biden sa gaganapin inagurasyon ni President-elect Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos, Jr. subalit kakatawanin ito ni US 2nd Gentleman.
Mismong si POTUS Joe Biden ang ang kumpirma na dadalo ang US presidential delegation sa inagurasyon ni President-elect Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. sa Huwebes, Hunyo 30.
Sa pahayag ng White House, binanggit na pangungunahan ni US Second Gentleman Douglas Emhoff ang delegasyon.
“President Joseph R. Biden, Jr. today (June 26) announced the designation of a Presidential Delegation to attend the Inauguration of His Excellency Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos, Jr. on June 30, 2022, in Manila, Republic of Philippines,” ayon inilabas na statement ng Washington.
Si Mr. Douglas Emhoff ay ang asawa ni Vice President Kamala Harris.
Bukod kay Emhoff, dadalo sa inagurasyon ang mga sumusunod na miyembro ng delegasyon:
Heather Variava, Chargé d’Affaires, ad interim, US Embassy Manila;
Bobby Scott, Chairman of the Committee on Education and Labor, United States Representative (D), Virginia; Nani A.
