Camp BGen Simeon A Ola, Legazpi City — PNP Bicol records its biggest drug haul over the weekend with a total of P1,122,000 worth of shabu seized in two separate operations.
In Camarines Norte, two female high-value target fall during the buy-bust operation launched by the operating team of Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit (RPDEU 5), Vinzons MPS, CamNorte Provincial Intelligence Unit; 1st CNPMFC and 501st Maneuver Company, RMFB at around 7:40 p.m. of December 3, 2022 at Purok 3, Barangay Calangcawan Sur municipality of Vinzons.
They were identified as Jeanilyn V Zulueta, 33 and Eleanor Caballero Valencia, 31, both residents of Paracale, Camarines Norte.
Seized from their possession and control were 60 grams of shabu with DDB value of P408,000.
Meanwhile, the high-impact operation led by the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit 5 together with City Intelligence Unit; Naga City Police Office in close collaboration with PDEA ROV two were also arrested at Isefa Zone 7, KM5 Brgy. San Felipe, Naga City at around 5:15 AM of December 4, 2022.
The operative named the drug traders as Raynier Dayaday y Labordo, 37 and Susan Alegre y Rosales, 59, both natives of Purok 2, Malaking Pulo, Tanauan, Batangas. They were captured after the sale of more or less 25 grams of shabu to a police undercover in exchange of the amount PhP 75, 000..
Additionally, another 10 heat-sealed sachets of suspected shabu weighing 80 grams were seized from the suspects following the body search conducted by the operatives.
A total of 105 grams of shabu were confiscated during the operation amounting to P714,000.
The drug personalities who are now under the custody of the police will be facing charges for violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
“The apprehension of these drug violators is a testament of the full implementation of our efforts to get rid of illegal drugs as a way to prevent the members of our community from being lured of its use. We cannot allow individuals to enter in Bicol and cause the conveyance and proliferation of illegal drugs in the region” said PBGen. Rudolph Dimas.
With the implementation of BIDA or “Buhay ay Ingatan, Droga ay Ayawan,” the PNP Bicol shall also actively take part together with other agencies in creating a more holistic approach to reduce drug demand in the community. (VICTOR BALDEMOR RUIZ)
