Camp BGen Simeon A Ola, Legazpi City — Guided with the directives of PBGEN MARIO A REYES, RD, PRO5 to step up the drive against illegal drugs, two Regional Recalibrated Database on Illegal Drugs and one other was arrested by PNP Bicol .
PNP-PRO 5 Spokesperson Police Major Malou Calubaquib , disclosed that entrapment operation was launched by personnel of Jose Panganiban MPS together with the Provincial Intelligence Unit ng CNPPO which resulted to the arrest of one Esmeraldo Esplana y Loberia, 31 years old and a resident of Plaridel, Jose Panganiban, Cam.Norte. Investigation of the authorities revealed that he is an active member of the Gutierrez Drug Group, a local drug group which operates in the province of Camarines Norte. He is also listed as the Regional Recalibrated Database on Illegal Drugs. His cohort identified as Gerald Aguiluz y Tapado, 37 years old and a resident of P-6, Brgy, Motherlode, Jose Panganiban, Camarines Norte was also apprehended.
Seized from their possession were 22 grams of suspected “shabu” worth Php 149, 600.
On the other hand, this was also followed by the apprehension of another Regional Recalibrated Priority Database on Illegal Drugs at Purok 1, Barangay Tugos, Paracale, Camarines Norte.
At about 9:40 p.m., joint operatives of the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit (RPDEU), Paracale MPS and Provincial Intelligence Unit-Camarines Norte PPO nabbed one Norlito Paquita y Mira AKA “LEO” 42 years old, a gold panner and a resident of Brgy Luklukan Sur, Jose Panganiban, Camarines Norte.
Confiscated from his possession is 15 grams of alleged “shabu” with the street value of Php 102,000.
Inventory and documentation of sequestered drug items were made in the presence of mandatory witnesses.
A case for violation of Section 5 at 11, Article II of RA 9165 is being prepared against the suspects.
RD Reyes congratulates the operating teams for the successful operations as the unit lives up with its goals to clear the community from the proliferation of illegal drugs.
“This is just the continuation of the many accomplishments of PRO5 against the war on drugs and we will remain on guard to sustain the momentum or even go beyond expectations.
