KINUMPIRMA kahapon ni Col XerXES Trinidad, spokesperson ng Philippine Army na nahuli ng buhay ang isa sa mga most wanted communist New Peoples Army Regional Operation Command leader sa isinagawang joint law enforcement operation sa Barangay Baritan, Malabon City kamakalawa ng umaga.
Ayon kay Col Xerxes, nadakip ng pinagsanib na puwersa Philippine Army 9th Infantry Division sa tulong ng AFP Joint Task Force NCR at PNP CIDG-NCR AT Regional Mobile Force-NCR si Dindo Monsanto alyas “BOY” na may patong patong na kaso ng pagpatay at rebelyon.
Dindo Monsanto is a Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) Leader of the Regional Operational Command of the Bicol Regional Party Committee. He has five (5) standing warrant of arrest for murder (Criminal Case #21373, #21334, #21335, #21436, and #12783 issued by the different branches of the 5th Regional Trial Court with no bail); attempted murder (Criminal case #21328 issued by 5th RTC Judicial Branch 46); frustrated murder (Criminal case #21329 issued by 5th RTC Judicial Branch 46); robbery w/ homicide (Criminal case #1877 issued by 5th RTC Judicial Branch 49); and violation against the anti-terrorism act (Criminal case #21330 issued by 5th RTC Judicial Branch 44), ani tagapagsalita ng Philippine Army.
Isa sa kontrobersyal na kasong inu-ugnay kay Monsanto ang pagpatay kay Keith Absalon, isang promising collegiate footballer at MVP ng Far Eastern University, at sa pinsan nitong si Nolven Absalon nang magpasabog ng itinanim na anti-personnel mine (APM) ng mga NPA.
Bukod ito sa ibat ibang karahasan sa Bicol region ani Trinidad.
Pinapurihan naman ni Army Commanding General Romeo Brawner ang collaborative efforts ng 9ID troops, JTF-NCR, at iba pang law enforcement agencies na nag resulta sa pagkaka dakip kay Monsanto para pagbayarin ito sa mga krimenG nagawa sa sambayanan.
