FORT BONIFACIO, Metro Manila- The 91st Brigade Reconnaissance Team (91BRC) troops—aided by the U.S. Army’s 5th Security Force Assistance Brigade—tested their M4 rifles and M249 light machine guns equipped with laser and infrared-aiming device that they will use in the Joint Pacific Multinational Readiness Center (JPMRC) Rotation 23-01 TRAINING at Area X, Schofield Barracks in Oahu, Hawaii.

Prior to this, the 91st Brigade Reconnaissance Company, 1st Brigade Combat Team, tested the combat simulator system that will be used throughout the Joint Pacific Multinational Readiness Center (JPMRC) Rotation 23-01 at the Schofield Barracks .
The Maneuver Advisor Team of the U.S Army’s 5th Security Force Assistance Brigade (5th SFAB) facilitated the zeroing exercise for the Multiple Integrated Laser Engagement System (MILES) gear that will be worn by each soldier throughout the exercise.
MILES provides a realistic battlefield environment for soldiers involved in training exercises. The 5SFAB team likewise briefed 91BRC troops on the use of M4 rifles and M249 light machine guns equipped with infrared (IR) and visible aiming lasers.
91BRC is taking part in training activities across the Hawaiian archipelago with the U.S. Army’s 25th Infantry Division, joint components of the U.S. Armed Forces, and armies of partner nations.
The multinational exercise serves as a platform where Philippine Army troops and their U.S. counterparts share tactics, techniques and procedures that enhance readiness and response capabilities during real-world challenges. (VICTOR RUIZ BALDEMOR)
