Philippine Army and Australian Army’s Exercise Kasangga enters final stretch

Participating troops from the 9th Infantry “Spear” Division and their Australian Army counterparts trained together in various warfighting operations as Exercise Kasangga entered the final stretch at Camp Elias Angeles, Pili, Camarines Sur.

Participating troops from both armies actively engaged in Urban Operations, Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TC3) and Mortar Gunnery drills.

Filipino and Australian ground troops demonstrated improvements in combined operational tactics, simulating high-stakes scenarios that demand precision, quick decision-making and cooperative responses during the combat scenarios.


It can be recalled that Kasangga is the inaugural combined training exercise between Filipino and Australian ground troops in the Bicol Region. A total of 266 soldiers composed of 216 PA personnel and 50 Australian Army personnel are participating in the said combined exercise which will wrap up on November 8, 2024.
