INIHAYAG ni Partido Demokratiko Pilipino (PDP) Deputy National Spokesman Atty. Ferdinand Topacio ang sobrang katuwaan umano ng PDP na yakapin sa partido si Cavite Fourth District Representative Francisco “Kiko” Barzaga.
“Rep. Barzaga is a perfect fit for the PDP, having shown exceptional and admirable principles of nationalism and the relentless pursuit of justice in the face of overwhelming resistance from the majority in the House which is trying to cover up unprecedented levels of corruption and dysfunctional governance,” ani Topacio.
“Truly, Rep. Barzaga is the embodiment of what the PDP stands for: uncompromising patriotism over and above transitory political advantage,” dagdag pa nito.
Ayon pa kay Topacio, “sa pag-anib ni Rep. Barzaga sa PDP, maka-CAT-ulong siya ng malaki sa aming adhikain bilang magpatuloy bilang tunay na oposisyon, at labanan ang PUSAkal na mga mandarambong sa kasalukuyang pamahalaan. To Kiko, we all say, MEOWcome to PDP! This is where you belong!”
Si Barzaga ay pormal na sumanib sa PDP matapos manumpa nitong Abril 30.
Dumalo din siya sa lunch gathering sa Davao City nitong Marso kasama sina Vice President Sara Duterte at kapatid nitong si Davao City Mayor Baste Duterte.
Naroon din sina Topacio at ilang political figures at abogado na sina Leandro Leviste, Vic Rodriguez, Jimmy Bondoc at Ronald Cardema.
