PDEA ROXII DESTROYS P3.4-M DANGEROUS DRUGS, PARAPHERNALIA

Davao City – The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Regional Office XII destroyed on Monday, December 2, 2024 P3.4 million worth of illegal drugs, expired regulated medicines and paraphernalia.

These pieces of evidence from 468 cases turned-over by courts with Court Order for destruction and expired regulated medicines from different pharmacies and hospitals in Region 12 were destroyed through thermal destruction at Cosmopolitan Funeral Homes, Davao City, in compliance with RA 9165 and Dangerous Drugs Board Regulation No. 1 series of 2002.


Regional Director Benjamin Recites III said the destroyed items with P3,487,872.946 worth include 274.1023 grams of shabu (P1,863,895.64), 6,979.3538 grams of marijuana (P837,522.456) and P786,454.85 worth of assorted expired regulated meds.

The activity was led by PDEA RO XI and graced by Rowena M. Apao-Adlawan, Executive Judge of Davao City as the Guest of Honor and Speaker. Also present were the required witnesses as mandated by the Regulation and guests from the different agencies.

Moreover, P16.1 million worth of illegal drugs were destroyed by PDEA RO XI during the same activity.
