NAKATAKDANG dumalo si Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. sa gaganaping ika -77th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) sa New York sa darating na Setyembre 18.
Ayon kay Press Secretary Trixie Cruz-Angeles,babalik umanilo si Marcos, Jr. sa bansa sa Setyembre 24.
Nabatid na magsasalita si Marcos sa UNGA sa Setyembre 20 kung saan naka-focus ang kanyang talumpati sa pagtugon ng bansa sa paglaban sa COVID-19.
“We are going to expect that his speech will be relating to how the Philippines will be recovering from this pandemic and where he intends to take this and how he will do so in cooperation with other states,”ayon kay Cruz-Angeles.
Samantala, sinabi ni Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) Assistant Secretary for United Nations and International Organizations Kira Azucena na ihahayag rin ni Marcos ang prayoridad ng kanyang administrasyon kabilang na ang climate change, rule of law at food security.
“His participation in the opening of UNGA 77 is important because it marks his first engagement with the United Nations which the Philippines recognizes as the world’s most important multilateral organization,” ani Azucena.
