Philippine Airlines said that it expects a large volume of passengers to travel by air to, from and within the Philippines during the Undas holiday period before and after November 1 and 2.
Because of this, PAL issued a few reminders to help you prepare and plan for a smooth Undas journey: CHECK BEFORE YOU FLY- Check the status of your flight before leaving for the airport – log on to http://www.philippineairlines.com and tick the Flight Status button and log in your flight number; SKIP THE LINE- Check in online via www.philippineairlines.com ; STAY WITHIN YOUR FREE BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE- Ensure that your bags are within the allowable free check-in baggage weight as indicated on your ticket and CHECK YOUR TRAVEL DOCUMENTS- Ensure the completeness and validity of all travel documents.
For International trips:Passport should be valid at least 6 months from your date of travel; the name on your ticket must be exactly the same as the name reflected in your passport; ensure that you have required visas, permits, vaccination card (if appropriate) and other documents required for your destination.
For Domestic trips:bring your valid government, school, or company-issued ID ;ensure that the name on your ticket is exactly the same as the name reflected in the ID presented upon check-in and boarding.
REGISTER FOR E-TRAVEL- International travelers are required to fill out the E-Travel registration online, as mandated by the Philippine authorities.; KNOW YOUR TERMINAL- Check your terminal assignments. In Manila, PAL domestic flights depart from NAIA Terminal 2, while PAL international flights depart from NAIA Terminal 1; HIT THE ROAD EARLY TO REACH THE AIRPORT ON TIME-. Expect heavy traffic in bigger cities like Manila and Cebu, so leave home extra early. Be at the airport at least three hours before domestic travel, or at least four hours before international travel.
