The country’s flag carrier, Philippine Air Lines (PAL), hailed the announcement made by President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. in his first State-of-the- Nation Address (SONA) that he plans to construct new international airports.
In a statement, Capt. Stanley K. Ng, PAL President & COO, said the plan will help boost tourism targets, generate economic growth and create employment opportunities in the aviation, travel and tourism industries.
“New access roads will help these economic benefits to flow into local communities,” Ng said.
He added: “As industry stakeholders, we welcome and support these plans announced by President Marcos in his State of the Nation Address.” (Baby Cuevas)
