Sa isang pulong balitan kasunod ng nasabing pagtitipon sa sa Pilipinas ay sinasabing kinagagalak ng China ang naging pahayag ni president ElecT Bongbong Marcos .
Ayon kay China Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Wang Wenbin sa kanilang Regular Press Conference nuong June 13, 2022, inihayag nito na ang Pilipinas ay laging nasa top priority ng China pagdating sa mga kalapit bansa.
“China always sees the Philippines as a priority in its neighborhood diplomacy. Our friendly policy toward the Philippines is consistent and steady. “
“We commend the Philippines for pursuing an independent foreign policy and look forward to working together with the new government led by incoming President Marcos to carry forward our friendship and cooperation, usher in a brighter future for bilateral ties to the benefit of both countries and peoples and safeguard the sound momentum for peace and development in the region, ani Wang Wenbin.
Nabatid na pinapurihan ng China Foreign Ministry ang naging statement ni BBM na: …“our strongest partner has always been … our close neighbor and good friend, the People’s Republic of China. The relations between the Philippines and China are very important and serve the benefit of both sides. The Philippines will continue to uphold an independent foreign policy and develop ties with China.
Sa nasabing pulong balitaan inihayag ni Wang Wenbin: China and the Philippines are close neighbors facing each other across the sea. Our two countries have a long tradition of good-neighborliness and friendship.
