ITO ang naging pahayag kahapon ng Philippine Army 4th Infantry Division kasabay ng selebrasyon ng armadong galamay ng Communist Party of the Philippine ang New Peoples Army ng kanilang 54th Anniversary .

Sinabi pa ni Maj. Gen. Jose Maria R. Cuerpo na tatapusin na niya ang laban at tungo sa ganap na tagumpay ngayong taong 2023.
Ayon kay MGen Cuerpo simula 2021 ay nasa walong Communist Terrorist Group (CTG) guerilla fronts (GFs), isang sub-regional committee (SRC) at isang independent platoon na ang kanilang na-dismantle.
Kabilang sa umano’y mga nawasak ng militar ang NPA criminal groups na nasa ilalim ng North Eastern Mindanao Regional Committee (NEMRC) at at North Central Mindanao Regional Committee na naghahasik ng kaguluhan at karahasan sa sa ilang area CARAGA at Northern Mindanao region.
Sinasabing ang kampanya ng 4th Infantry (Diamond) Division katuwang ang ibat- ibang line government agencies na nasa ilalim ng Task Force ELCAC ay inilatag na ang daan tungo sa tuluyang pagbagsak ng communist terrorist group (CTG) sa Caraga at Northern Mindanao regions.
“The people are already fed up and tired with the deception and exploitation of the CTG. People are more interested and focused on the peace and developmental projects as well as the various services that the government has delivered and has been implementing into their communities that will surely provide livelihood opportunities and uplift their lives,” dagdag pa ni Cuerpo.
Sa datos ng Philippine Army 4ID , sa total na 362 government initiated encounters nag resulta nito sa neyutralisasyon ng 885 CPP-NPA Terrorists (CNTs) at pagkakabawi o pagsuko ng may 766 firearms habang nasa 234 kuta ng CTG ang nakubkob at nabawi ng pamahalaan.
Pinakahuli rito ang pagsalakay na ginawa sa liblib na bahagi ng San Juan, Bayugan City na ikinasawi ng dalawang rebelde .
“These huge gains make the CTG irrelevant to society. More and more members and even leaders have given up and surrendered as their existence no longer have meaning to the people. For more than 54 years, atrocities and threats have drastically vanished. With the overwhelming support of the people on our side, we shall continue to employ more pressure on them through our intensified focused military operations and our collaborations with other government agencies under the Task Force-ELCAC,” pahayag pa ng heneral.
