Bilang pagdiriwang ng ika-75 anibersaryo ng pagkakatatag ng diplomatikong relasyon ng Pilipinas at Korea, nagsasagawa ng friendship flight ang Philippine Air Force (PAF) at Republic of Korea Air Force tampok ang kanilang Black Eagle Aerobatic Team. Air show sa Clark Air Base Sa Mabalacat City, Pampanga.
Ang nasabing air show ay pasimula para sa serye ng mga aktibidad na isasagawa mula March 3 hanggang 5 sa Clark Air Base,.
Tampok sa tatlong araw na aktibidad ang araw-araw na aerial exhibition ng tanyag na Black Eagles aerobatic team ng Republic of Korea Air Force kung saan ipapamalas ang kanilang precision aerial maneuvers gamit ang walong T-50B aircraft.
Sasabayan naman ng apat na FA-50 Fighters ng PAF ang Black Eagles sa demonstrasyon ng pagkakaibigan at kooperasyon, kung saan personal na sinaksihan ito ni Department of National Defense (DND) Secretary Gilbert Teodoro na nagsilbing panauhing pandangal.
Ang nasabing aktibidad ay bukas sa publiko mula March 4 hanggang 5, kung saan kailangan lamang magpa-rehistro sa PAF Facebook Page
Manghang mangha ang mga nakapanood ng unang Black Eagles aerobatic show dahil sa kanilang awe-inspiring aerial maneuvers, na nag iiwan ng mga makulay na landas sa himpapawid l.
“The PAF currently operates 12 FA-50PH aircraft acquired through a purchase contract signed in 2014 with the Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI). Significantly, these aircraft were considered a “game changer” because of their contributions during the Marawi Siege in 2017. Notably, the T-50Bs used by ROKAF aerobatic team are trainer jet versions of the said type of aircraft,” ani Philippine Air Force Commander Lt. general Estephen Parreno.
“The event showcased not just diplomatic or friendly ties, but a profound sense of kinship between the two countries,” ani DND Sec. Teodoro.
Nagpahatid naman ng pasasalamat si, MGen Park Chang Kyu, Commander ng Air Defense and Control Command ng ROKAF, sa mga Filipino dahil sa kanilang patuloy na pagtitiwala at pakikipagkaibigan sa Kor4ea sa loob ng mahigit pitong dekada.
Sina Sec. Teodoro at MGen Park ay sinamahan nina His Excellency Lee Sang-Hwa, Korean Ambassador to the Philippines; LtGen Arthur M Cordura PAF, Acting Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines; LtGen Stephen P Parreño PAF, Commanding General, PAF; and MGen Augustine S Malinit PAF, Vice Commander.
