PAF RESCUE TEAM SOARS TO VICTORY IN RESCUELYMPICS

The Philippine Air Force’s 505th Search and Rescue Group has achieved a remarkable feat by capturing the championship title in the Rescuelympics during the awarding held at Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City.

Organized by the Office of Civil Defense (OCD), the competition aims to test and evaluate the readiness of rescue teams for large-scale disaster situations. The competition featured a series of grueling challenges designed to replicate the complexities of real-world disaster response scenarios.

The 505th SRG’s elite ten-member team showcased exceptional skill, teamwork, and unwavering determination as they exceeded their counterparts from the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the Philippine Coast Guard.


This resounding victory is a testament to the PAF’s unwavering commitment to the safety and well-being of the Filipino people. The 505th SRG’s triumph also highlights the organization’s unparalleled dedication to disaster preparedness and response.

The Rescuelympics served as a culminating event for the National Disaster Resilience Month, spearheaded by the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council.

The 505th Search and Rescue Group is the PAF’s premier unit dedicated to disaster response and humanitarian aid. Equipped with air ambulance and rescue helicopters and highly trained personnel, the group is at the forefront of saving lives and providing relief in times of crisis.
