PAF EVACUATES LANDSLIDE VICTIMS FOR URGENT MEDICAL ATTENTION

The Philippine Air Force, through its 205th Tactical Helicopter Wing and 505th Search and Rescue Group, deployed its UH-1H and Sikorsky S-76 helicopters on February 7, 2024, to facilitate the air evacuation of civilians caught in a landslide in the mining areas of Barangay Masara, Maco, Davao de Oro.

In a joint effort with ground troops, three individuals were successfully rescued from the debris and immediately airlifted to Apokon in Tagum City for urgent medical attention.


This humanitarian mission underscores the PAF’s steadfast commitment to assisting communities in need during times of calamity.
