The Manila Police District -Station 11 arrested a public utility vehicle driver during a buy-bust operation which yielded the confiscation of one kilo of shabu worth over P6.8 million.
Identified as Lanie Sauma, 36, of No. 268 San Guillermo Street, Barangay Putatan,Muntinlupa City, the suspect was nabbed based on tipped information that he was selling a large amount of shabu.
Based on the information, the police laid out an entrapment operation. A cop posing as buyer met with the suspect and once the sale was consummated, the buy-bust operation was concluded at the corner of Rizal Avenue and Bustos Street in Barangay 303, District III, Sta. Cruz, Manila.
The suspect who is now in the custody of the MPD-Station 1, was placed under arrest and police confiscated from him a kilo of shabu with an estimated street value of P6.8 million, along with the P5,000 marked money used in the operation and an additional additional sachet containing five grams of shabu.#
The said driver is now facing charges for violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 before the Manila Prosecutor’s Office.
