ABOUT P560,000 worth of shabu and firearm were seized during the implementation of search warrant by joint operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency- Ilocos Sur Provincial Office (PDEA ISPO), Police Regional Office I- Regional Intelligence Division (PRO I- RID), Ilocos Sur Police Provincial Office-Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (ISPPO-PDEU), ISPPO-Provincial Intelligence Unit (ISPPO-PIU), ISPPO-1st Provincial Mobile Force Company (ISPPO-1st PMFC), and Santa Police Station that led in the arrest of a couple-high-value target drug personalities.
PDEA RO 1 Regional Director, Director III Joel B Plaza identified the suspects as Aniceta Bernardo Ustari, subject of operation, provincial target drug personality; and Michael Toledo Ustari, husband of the subject and a high-value target drug personality, who were arrested at around 11:30 AM on May 15, 2024 in Santa, Ilocos Sur.
Seized during the operation were 13 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing more or less 80 grams of suspected shabu, a cal. 45 firearm with seven pieces of live ammunition, two weighing scale, two handbags, a brown wallet, a coin purse, a cotton buds plastic box, cash in different denominations, and several drug paraphernalia.
A case for violation of Section 11 (Possession of Dangerous Drugs), Article II of RA 9165, or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, and RA 10591, or The Act Providing for a Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition and Providing Penalties for Violations Thereof, will be filed against the suspects, now detained at Santa Police Station detention facility, said municipality.
