P2.476 MILLION ILLICIT DRUGS HAWAK NA NG PDEA

HAWAK na ngayon ng Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency ang nasa P2.476 million halaga ng iligal na droga na nasabat ng mga tauhan ng Bureau of Customs (BOC) Anti-Illegal Drug Interdiction Task Group ng Ninoy Aquino International Airport (BOC-NAIA).

Sa ulat na isinumite kay BOC Commissioner Yogi Filemon Ruiz, at PDEA Director General Amoroso Virgilio Lazo nasabat ng BOC-NAIA ang tatlong parsela na naglalaman ng mga droga.

“Authorized personnel turned over the illicit drugs to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) for proper disposition. A physical examination of the parcels verified the presence of six plastic pouches of candies and one vape cartridge containing THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), 1.020 kg of Ecstasy, and 106.46 gm of shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) with a total estimated value of P2.476 million. Ang mga parsela ay nagmula sa mga bansa ng United Sates, France at Pakistan na nakatakdang dalhin sa mga lalawigan ng Negros Occidental, Camarines Sur gayundin sa Makati City.

Ayon kay BOC-NAIA, District Collector Carmelita Talusan, nakuha sa tatlong parcel ang anim na plastic pouches sa loob ng candies at sa vape cartridge ang THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), 1.020 kg ng Ecstasy at 106.46 gramo ng shabu na aabot sa P2.476 milyon ang halaga sa Central Mail Exchange Center (CMEC), Pair Cargo, at DHL Warehouse sa Pasay City.

Kasalukuyang nagsasagawa ng imbestigasyon upang maaresto ang mga consignee dahil sa paglabag ng Republic Act (RA) No. 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, at ng RA 10863, o tinatawag na Customs Modernization and Tariff Act.
