P152 PEKENG CROCS, NAKUMPISKA

ITINATAYANG nasa P152 million ang halaga ng nasamsam na counterfeit footwear ng mga tauhan ng Philippine National Police -Criminal Investigation and Detection Group sa lalawigan ng Pampanga.

Ayon sa ulat ng PNP-CIDG, nasa mahigit 45,000 pares ng nasabing pekeng footwear ang nakumpiska sa loob ng isang Chinese-operated manufacturing facility sa nasabing lalawigan.

Armado ng ilang search warrant ay inilunsad ng Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Pampanga Field Unit “Oplan Megashopper” sa Global Aseana Business Park 2 sa bayan ng San Simon.


Target ng police operation ang illegal production ng nasabing pekeng footwear at sa pagsisiyasat, ang nadiskubreng counterfeit production ring ay pinapatakbo umano ng isang “Chongjian,” isang Chinese national na nagnenegosyo sa Pilipinas sa ilalim ng pangalang “Apexel.” Nananatiling nakakalaya pa ang nasabing banyaga.

Kasamang nakumpiska ang ginagamit na molding plates, raw materials, machinery, sales invoices at order slips sa sinalakay na factory na sinaksihan ng Crocs representatives at ilang local government officials.

Lahat ng nasamsam na ebidensiya ay ibinigay sa kinatawan ng Crocs para sa safekeeping, pending at clarificatory hearing na itinakda sa February 26, 2025.

“The CIDG remains committed to intensifying efforts to combat the production and sale of counterfeit goods, uphold intellectual property rights, and protect legitimate businesses. Those found liable will be held accountable under the law,” pahayag pa ni CIDG chief Brigadier General Nicolas Torre III.


“This operation demonstrates our unwavering commitment to uphold the rule of law and protect the interests of businesses and consumers. Counterfeit goods not only undermine legitimate enterprises but also pose significant risks to public safety,” dagdag naman ni PNP chief Rommel Francisco Marbil.
