P1-million puslit na sigarilyo, huli ng BOC

NASABAT ng mga tauhan ng Bureau of Customs-Port of Zamboanga (BOC-POZ) ang may 30 kahon ng smuggled cigarettes na itinatayang aabot sa mahigit P1 million ang halaga sa Jolo, Sulu.

Sa ulat na ipinarating kay BOC Commissioner Yogi Filemon Ruiz matapos na makatangap ng positive intelligence report ang BOC Intelligence Units ay agad na nagsagawa ng mobile patrol operation ang BOC – Enforcement and Security Service (ESS) at Customs Intelligence and Investigation Service (CIIS), katuwang ang Jolo Municipal Police Station sa bisinidad ng Zone 3, Barangay Tulay.


Dinala sa BOC sub-port ng Jolo ang mga nasabat na kontrabando para sa kinakailangang “inventory and disposition of seized items” kaugnay sa isasampang kaso base Section 117 of R.A. 10863, otherwise known as the Customs Modernization and Tariff Act (CMTA) of 2016, concerning Executive Order Number 245 entitled “Amended Rules and Regulations Governing the Exportation and Importation of Leaf Tobacco and Tobacco Products.”

‘With the guidance of BOC Commissioner Yogi Filemon Ruiz and consistent with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s order to stop smuggling and implement stringent border control measures, the BOC-POZ and its sub-ports continue to implement anti-smuggling operations and collaborate with law enforcement agencies, pahayag pang BOC Spokesman Arnaldo dela Torre.
