“Justice is served to Mr. Posadas! The CPP-NPA-NDF can never run away from the atrocities that they have committed against our country and people. Sooner or later, the long arm of the law will be able to catch up on them.”
Ito ang binigay na pahayag kahapon ni AFP Visayan Command chie Lt. Gen. Benedict Arevalo ukol sa pagkamatay ni Rogelio Posadas , Secretary ng CPP-NPA Negros-Cebu-Bohol-Siquijorregional committee.
Ayon kay Arevalo, “With the death of Rogelio Posadas, the CPP-NPA-NDF in Western and Central Visayas are now leaderless, with no clear operational direction on the ground. This will further contribute to the leadership vacuum that their aching organization continues to suffer.”
Si Rogelio Posadas na napatay sa inilunsad na military operation ay kilabot na lider ng NPA na responsable umano sa mga naganap na terrorist activities sa Western at Central Visayas. Pinaghahanap siya ng batas dahil sa kasong murder at may warrant of arrest na inilabas ng Regional Trial Court Branch 60 sa Cadiz City laban sa kanya.
Ayon kay Lt Colonel Israel Galorio, Chief of Public Information Office ng VISCOM-AFP, ang pagkakapaslang kay Posadas ay matinding pagkalupig sa CPP-NPA-NDF.
Pagpapakita umano ito ng tuluyan nang pagkadurog ng teroristang grupo sa Visayas region at matinding mensahe sa nalalabing mga demoralisadong rebelde na wala nang ligtas na lugar para pagtaguan nila.
“To those NPAs who insist on doing terrorism, the government forces will crush you sooner than later. Give up the senseless armed struggle before it’s too late”, panawagan naman ni 3ID Commander, MGen Marion R Sison na nakasagupa ng grupo ni Posadas sa Central Negros.
