Nelson Guevarra of PGFlex Premium Plastic Group and treasurer of the Filipino-Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inc. was honored by the Public Attorney’s Office (PAO) as an “Outstanding Civic Leader” at the 8th Mandatory Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) Accredited National Convention of Public Attorneys.
The PAO noted how Guevarra’s leadership shines through his roles as President of PG Flex Premium Plastic Group, Chairman of Motoitalia Philippines, and President of Garden Barn Inc. His service as a Board Member and Treasurer of the Federation of Filipino Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Vice President of the Pasay Volunteer Fire Brigade, and Trustee of Chiang Kai Shek College exemplifies his dedication to community and excellence.
The plaque of appreciation for the distinction was bestowed on Guevarra by the PAO headed by its chief, Dr. Persida V. Rueda-Acosta at the, during the said convention held on August 12 to 17, 2024 at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC).
The theme for the National Convention is ” Ang Public Attorney’s Officebsa Bagong Pilipinas: Nagbibigay ng Maasahan, Agaran at Karampatang Ligal na Serbisyo sa Maralitang Pilipino Upang Isulong ang Karapatang Panlipunan”.
The holding of the said National Convention is necessary for the capacity-building and empowerment of the public attorneys, which would redound to the benefit of not just the said participants, but of the clients of the Public Attorney’s Office (PAO) who avail of it’s free legal services.
