Bagong Calarian, Zamboanga City – The Naval Forces Western Mindanao (NFWM), through its intelligence operative, provided support to a law enforcement operation conducted by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) IX during their Anti-Illegal Drugs Operation that resulted in the successful arrest of two drug listed personalities at the Dunkin Donuts Parking Lot, Nunez Extension, Barangay Camino Nuevo, Zamboanga City.
During the operation, law enforcement authorities seized a substantial quantity of illicit substances and pertinent evidence.
Among the items confiscated were two packages containing a white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu, weighing a total of 2 kilograms with an estimated value of P13,600,000. Additionally, authorities recovered the 1000-peso bill buy-bust money, bearing the serial number NY096814, along with 19 bundles of 1000-peso counterfeit bills.
In addition, authorities also seized a white OPPO android cellular phone and a Yamaha AX motorcycle with license plate number 432 JOC, including its ignition key.
Following the operation, the seized drugs were promptly transmitted to the Zamboanga City Forensic Unit for thorough quantitative and qualitative analysis. Simultaneously, the suspects were taken into custody and escorted to the PDEA9-Zamboanga City Office’s detention facility for further legal proceedings.
The successful execution of this operation underscores the unwavering commitment of Naval Forces Western Mindanao to support law enforcement agencies to combat the proliferation of illegal drugs in the Western Mindanao Region.
