IBINASURA ng Commission on Elections (Comelec) ang motion,ang apela para ideklarang nuisance candidate si incoming president Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. para sa 2022 presidential election.
Ayon sa resolusyon ng Comelec en banc. ibinasura ang petisyon ni Danilo Lihayhay, dahil sa kabiguan nito na makapagpasok ng bagong argumento sa kanyang apela.
“WHEREFORE, in view of the foregoing, the Commission (en banc) DENIES Respondent’s Motion for Reconsideration dated 22 December 2021 and AFFIRMS the Resolution of the Commission (Second Division) promulgated on 16 December 2021,” ayon sa resolusyon inilabas nitong Huwebes na nilagdaan ni
Comelec Chairman Saidamen Pangarungan, Commissioners Socorro Inting, Marlon Casquejo, Aimee Ferolino, Rey Bulay at Aimee Torrefranca-Neri.
Nabatid na nag-inhibit si Commissioner George Erwin Garcia dahil si Marcos ay dati niyang kliyente noong siya ay isa pang election lawyer.
Ang naturang petisyon ay inihain ni Lihaylihay sa dating Comelec Second Division nitong Disyembre 16, 2021. (Jantzen Tan)
