MANILA Mayor Isko Moreno said he does not regret having sought the Presidency and is in fact grateful to God and the people who supported him.
“I have no regrets. Madami akong dapat ipagpasalamat sa buhay. Galing ako sa basurahan. I came from nothing. I have no regrets and will always be grateful to God,” Moreno said.
Come July 1, Moreno said he will be “citizen Isko” and vowed to be a responsible citizen of the country.
“Hindi ako nagkamali ng desisyon na sumali kasi nakita ko ang pinaglalaban ko, na maiahon sa maayos na katayuan ang mga tao. It was proven correct when I saw the people sa buong bansa,” Moreno said.
According to Moreno, his biggest learning when he ran for President is that the Philippines is a beautiful country but that there are too many poor Filipinos specially in the countrysides who live under dire conditions.
“Kung ramdam natin ang hirap dito, mas doble ang marami nating kababayan,” he said.
As citizens of Manila, Moreno called on the populace to strive to excel in their chosen fields of undertaking and help the new administration under the Honey Lacuna-Yul Servo leadership. (Baby Cuevas)
