Former President, now ‘Citizen Rodrigo Duterte’, yesterday flew to Davao City as he reached his last day in office at noon yesterday, June 30.
Prior to the end of his term, Duterte received the traditional departure honors at the Kalayaan Grounds in Malacañang Palace.
As tradition would have it, Duterte’s successor, President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr., paid him a courtesy call in his Malacanang office after which he proceeded to the National Museum in Manila for his inauguration as the country’s 17th President.
Duterte , on the other hand, flew to Davao via Philippine AirLines domestic flight PR 1819. His plane left the NAIA Terminal 2 at 5:10 p.m. He was accompanied by Senator Bong Go. (Baby Cuevas)
