US authorities reportedly confirmed that the shooting was an assassination attempt and an investigation is still ongoing.
President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris condemned the incident where Trump was reportedly hit in the right ear.
Trump was in the middle of a speech when shots rang out.
He held his hit ear, ducked and was taken off the stage by Secret Service agents who also were reported to have killed the suspect who staged the attack from outside the rally site.
The suspect was said to be a Republican too.
The former president was then brought to a waiting vehicle and rushed to the hospital where he was treated for his wound.
