May 1,100 miyembro ng Manila Police District (MPD), Kasama ang mga personnel ng Regional Mobile Force Battalion at National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO), ang ide-deploy sa darating na paggunita ng Labor Day sa Mayo 1.
Ayon kay MPD Director PBGen Andre Dizon, ipo-posisyon ang mga pulis sa Don Chino Roces Bridge, Mendiola, United States Embassy, Supreme Court of the Philippines, Department of Labor and Employment sa Intramuros, Welcome Rotonda, Malacañang Palace, Freedom Parks at mga checkpoints.
Sinabi ni Dizon na binuhay ang Civil Disturbance Management District Reactionary Standby Support Force at District Mobile Force Battalion na magsisilbing augmentation force.
Ang MPD, sa pakikipag-ugnayan sa lokal na pamahalaan ng Maynila at iba pang concerned agency at pribadong sector, ay nagsama-sama para sa security, crowd control, civil disturbance management, traffic direction at control at emergency preparedness and response.
Babantayan rin ang lahat ng lugar na pinupuntahan ng ralyista at mga vital installations , ani Dizon.
“Rest assured that the MPD is always vigilant and prepared in securing the public for the peaceful celebration of Labor Day. Likewise, the MPD continuously conducts anti-criminality campaigns such as OPLAN Sita, checkpoints, bicycle patrol every morning and motorcycle patrol in the afternoon,” ayon pa kay Dizon.
