MINDANAO STATE BOMBING MASTERMIND DAULAH ISLAMIYAH AMIR, KASAMA SA NAPATAY SA LANAO

KINUMPIRMA ng Armed Forces of the Philippines, sa pamamagitan ng 103rd Infantry Brigade, Philippine Army, na kabilang sa siyam na napatay na kasapi ng Daulah Islamiyah si Khadafi Mimbesa, alyas “Engineer,” ang mastermind sa madugong pagpapasabog sa Mindanao State university.

Ayon sa 103rd Brigade, na nasa ilalim ng pamumuno ng, BGen Yegor Rey Barroquillo, Jr, kabilang sa mga napaslang si Mimbesa, ang appointed Amir ng Dawlah Islamiyah, kasunod ng dalawang araw na bakbakan sa Lanao del Sur noong Enero 25-26, 2024, at siyang responsible sa bomb attack sa MSU nuong December 3, 2023.


Sinuportahan ang nasabing pahayag ng military ng isang terorista na kinilalang si alyas Khatab, isang high-value individual sa loob ng DI-Maute Group na sumuko sa 2nd Mechanized Brigade nito lamang Linggo February 11.

Kaugnay nito ay pinarangalan din kahapon ni President and Commander-in-Chief Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. ang kabayanihan at katapangan na ipinakita ng apat na combat-wounded soldiers laban sa Dawlah Islamiya-Maute Group (DI-MG) nang bisitahin sila ng Pangulo sa Army General Hospital sa Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.

Ang apat na sugatan ay kabilang sa 3rd Scout Ranger Battalion na sumagupa ng dalawang araw laban sa DI-MG sa Barangay Tapurong, Piagapo, Lanao del Sur na ikinasawi ng siyam na terorista, kabilang ang mga suspects sa MSU-Marawi bombing.


Kasama ni Pangulong Marcos sina Secretary of National Defense Gilberto C. Teodoro Jr., AFP Chief of Staff Gen. Romeo S. Brawner Jr. at Army Chief Lt. Gen. Roy M. Galido, nang igawad ang Gold Cross Medals sa dalawang sundalo ‘for gallantry in action,’ habang Military Merit Medals (MMM) with Bronze Spearhead Device naman ang iginawad sa dalawa pang sundalo dahil sa mahalagang papel na ginampanan nila sa nasabing operation.

“Our troops will be relentless in the pursuit of those who will seek to disturb the peace. Take this as an invitation and a call to surrender now and avoid the same fate as your dead comrades,” pahayag naman ni Brawner.


“The Armed Forces of the Philippines will always be a catalyst for peace and assures the public of the military’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding peace and security in Mindanao and across the country,” dagdag pa ng CSAFP.
