Manila Vice Mayor Yul Servo yesterday opened the inaugural session of the Manila City Council with a call to all the city councilors to help him support the administration of Mayor Honey Lacuna.
Servo said he would like to be the kind of vice mayor that Lacuna was to Mayor Isko Moreno, citing how effective their partnership had been in making their administration succeed.
According to Servo, who will be serving concurrently as presiding officer of the Council, he will do his best to help the Lacuna administration realize its plans by giving her a city council that is in full support of and cooperative with the mayor.
He thanked Lacuna for assuring him that she will guide him through to become an effective Presiding Officer, having been there herself.
Servo also thanked former Mayor Isko Moreno, Asenso Manileno founders former Vice Mayor Lacuna and city administrator Bernie Ang for having supported him all the way, bringing him to where he is now.
According to Servo, he would also need the cooperation of the 38 members of the city council to be able to become an effective leader to them. (BABY CUEVAS)
